Book Character Day

Today we have a little celebration at St. Margaret School, it is Book Character Day.

We have had lots of different animals, princesses, superheros, ans a very big hat, that everybody knows: The Cat in the Hat.

We watched his story, in a rainy rainy day....

T is for Tom: The Time it Took Tom

This is a funny book all about time, colors and a little artist named Tom, who really really really likes red. He loved red so much... he even painted his own cat red, but I don't think the cat was very happy.

Cooking numbers

We were trying to find the way to "cook" numbers, I mean, how can we get number six, or nine or ten, using to different colors of snapping cubes. We have to build a tower of blocks with two different colors to represent the number that appears on the card.. 

The only thing is, remember, we need to try the numbers in Spanish.

We worked really hard with apples, and just in case you want to do it again at home, I am posting here the worksheets we used.

Today we work with apples again, and we saw how apple trees grow from a little seed.

An Apple Investigation

We have been working with apples, and we decided to to explore and get to know them a little bit more.

So first, we took a look at the color of the apples we had in the room, YELLOW, GREEN or RED. That was an easy one.

Then, we found out how tall the apple was:

My apple is 4 cubes tall.

Hablamos de colores, de cosas que nos gustan y de cosas que no nos gustan.

It was really fun, and the weather was great too.

This book is an awesome adventure. We need to find different kinds of leaves, but the trail is really difficult. We will climb a mountain, cross a forest, a river and a lake. And suddenly.... ¡¡¡SURPRISE!!!
